About ImpactSphere
A multidisciplinary African organisation
ImpactSphere Media & Communications Limited operates at the intersection of media, research, technology, innovation, and development — combining the discipline of a newsroom with the method of a research institute and the output of an engineering lab.
Who we are
ImpactSphere Media & Communications Limited is a Nigerian media and technology company dedicated to transforming Africa through credible journalism, digital communications, research, innovation, and emerging technologies.
We combine media excellence with artificial intelligence, geospatial technologies, drone systems, precision agriculture, digital transformation, and policy research to develop practical solutions that improve lives and accelerate sustainable development.
The company was formed on a simple observation: Africa's development questions are rarely answered by information alone, or by technology alone. A yield gap is a reporting problem, a data problem, and an engineering problem at once. We were built to hold all three.
Vision
To become Africa's leading digital media, innovation, and technology platform, delivering transformative solutions that shape public discourse, strengthen institutions, and advance sustainable development.
Mission
To inform, educate, inspire, and empower individuals, communities, businesses, and governments through credible journalism, digital innovation, research, technology, and strategic communications while developing indigenous solutions that address Africa's most pressing development challenges.
Our organisational approach
Four capabilities sit inside one company, deliberately. A finding from the research practice can become a documentary; a documentary can expose a data gap the Innovation Lab then closes; a working prototype becomes the subject of a policy brief. Each division stands on its own commercially, and each one strengthens the others.
- Evidence before assertion. Nothing is published, claimed, or marketed on our behalf without a source we can point to.
- Indigenous by default. Solutions are designed for Nigerian and African operating conditions — cost, climate, connectivity, repairability — rather than adapted after the fact.
- Separation of interests. Editorial judgement is insulated from commercial and communications work by policy, not by goodwill.
- Built to hand over. Research, tools, and training are designed so partners can run them without us.
What we do
Digital media and journalism; corporate and government communications; research and consulting; and the Innovation Lab, which develops artificial intelligence, drone systems, GIS and remote sensing, precision agriculture, IoT, climate technologies, and smart farming solutions.
ImpactSphere produces and distributes digital news and journalism through its media platforms. Our publications, podcasts, documentary work, and press releases are presented on this site; the news platform itself is operated separately.
Leadership
